Hardy Nutrition Consultation Fees | Expert Dietitian Services
Fees effective from 1 October 2026.
At Hardy Nutrition Dietary Consulting, we provide personalised, evidence-based nutrition care tailored to your individual health needs. Our Accredited Practising Dietitians support clients across a broad range of areas, including weight management, eating disorders, chronic disease management, gastrointestinal conditions, diabetes and general nutrition.
General Consultations
Initial Consultation (60 minutes): $215.00
Your initial consultation includes a comprehensive nutrition assessment and personalised recommendations. Your dietitian will take the time to understand your health history, nutritional requirements, goals and individual circumstances to develop an appropriate nutrition management plan.
Review Consultations
Extended Review (45 minutes): $165.00
Standard Review (30 minutes): $110.00
Review consultations provide ongoing support to monitor progress, address challenges and adjust your nutrition management plan. Your dietitian will recommend the most appropriate consultation length based on your individual clinical needs.
Couples Consultations
Initial Consultation (90 minutes): $350.00
Review Consultation (45 minutes): $195.00
Couples consultations allow both individuals to discuss their nutrition and health goals together while receiving recommendations tailored to their individual needs.
Specialised Eating Disorder Consultations
Our dietitians provide specialised nutrition care for individuals experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating, including:
Anorexia Nervosa
Bulimia Nervosa
Binge Eating Disorder
Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED)
Disordered eating and complex relationships with food
Initial Eating Disorder Consultation (75 minutes): $245.00
Eating Disorder Review Consultations:
Extended Review (45 minutes): $175.00
Standard Review (30 minutes): $130.00
Initial eating disorder appointments require a $150 booking deposit. This amount is applied towards the total consultation fee.
Eating disorder care may include appropriate communication and coordination with your GP and other members of your treating team. Medicare rebates may be available for eligible patients with a valid Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan. Concessional rates are not available for eating disorder consultations.
Medicare Rebates & Chronic Disease Management
If you have an eligible chronic medical condition and a valid referral from your GP under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, you may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate for dietetic consultations.
General Medicare Consultation Fees:
Initial/Extended Consultation (60 minutes): $215.00

Medicare rebate: $63.40 | Patient gap: $46.60
Concession/ATSI: Eligible patients attending a standard 30-minute consultation may access a reduced $26.60 gap fee. Please contact our team for further information regarding eligibility.
Please note that concessional billing is not available for 60-minute initial/extended consultations or on Saturdays. A reduced fee for a 45-minute consultation may be available at the treating dietitian's discretion on weekdays.
Eating Disorder Medicare Rebates
Eligible patients with a valid Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan may be able to claim a Medicare rebate for dietetic treatment.
Initial Consultation (75 minutes): $245.00
Medicare rebate: $63.40 | Patient gap: $181.60Extended Review (45 minutes): $175.00

Concessional billing is not available for eating disorder consultations or on Saturdays.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance with extras cover, you may be eligible for a rebate on dietetic services. Your rebate will depend on your individual policy and level of cover. We recommend contacting your health insurer directly to confirm your entitlement.

Item 500 – Initial Consultation
Item 600 – Review Consultation
Where available, eligible private health insurance claims can be processed via HICAPS at the time of your appointment.
Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA)
Hardy Nutrition is a registered DVA provider and provides DVA-funded dietetic consultations for eligible clients with an appropriate referral. Please speak with your GP or contact our team regarding eligibility.
Appointment & Medicare Referral Policy
To claim a Medicare rebate, a valid referral must be in place and meet Medicare requirements. Where a Medicare claim cannot be processed by Hardy Nutrition, clients may be required to pay the consultation fee in full and submit their claim directly to Medicare.
Cancellation & Financial Policy
Cancellations or appointment changes require a minimum of 24 hours' notice.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice, or appointments that are not attended, may incur the full consultation fee.
Medicare and private health insurance rebates are generally not available for cancellation or non-attendance fees.
Where payment is required following a missed appointment, payment may be required before another appointment can be booked.

Financial Responsibility
Consultation fees are payable at the time of service. Hardy Nutrition can process eligible Medicare claims on your behalf; however, clients remain responsible for payment of consultation fees where a Medicare claim is declined or cannot be processed.
Eligible private health insurance claims may be processed via HICAPS where this service is available.
